MA4SURE participatory workshop: ‘The agroecological transition in the face of climate change. Could the region of Alt Penedès be a pioneer?’
How could Alt Penedès better face the impacts of climate change on agriculture? Could the recovery of traditional agricultural practices contribute to offering innovative solutions? What is the potential and what are the barriers to moving towards a desirable agroecological transition?
Climate change poses a major challenge for Mediterranean agri-food systems. Given this situation, it is urgent to carry out profound transformations. The European project MA4SURE (Mediterranean Agroecosystems for Sustainability and Resilience under Climate Change), seeks to support decision-making by the different actors of the agri-food system regarding the implementation of innovations to face climate change.
You are invited to discuss the potential, challenges and needs to transform the Alt Penedès agri-food model and explore possible scenarios that are sustainable and resilient to climate change.
